IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
Give tax-free from your IRA.
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD), also called an IRA charitable distribution or IRA charitable rollover, enables individuals to fulfill their IRS required minimum distribution (RMD), or a portion of it, by a direct transfer to an eligible charity. These distributions can also be used to support multiple charities, as long as the sum of the distributions is within the $108,000 limit. Because QCDs don’t increase taxable income, you can avoid both higher tax rates and phaseouts of other tax deductions. In addition, because QCDs reduce the balance of the IRA, they may reduce required minimum distributions in future years.

Stock and Securities Transfer
A gift of appreciated securities (stocks, bonds, or mutual funds held for more than one year) is often the most tax-efficient way to support the KZYX Capital Campaign.
Benefits for You
By donating appreciated stock, you can typically:
Avoid paying capital gains tax on the increase in the stock’s value.
Receive a tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock on the date of transfer (subject to IRS limitations).
How to Initiate a Stock Transfer
To ensure your gift is properly credited to the Capital Campaign and acknowledged for tax purposes, your broker must transfer the shares directly to KZYX's brokerage account.
Please DO NOT sell the stock yourself.
Notify KZYX: Please notify our Development Director before initiating the transfer so we can properly identify your gift when it arrives and send you the correct tax receipt.
